Viking senior Jim Vonnahme (Glidden, Iowa) represented the Grand View men's cross country team at the NAIA National Championships on Saturday morning in Vancouver, Washington. 

It was the second straight year Vonnahme qualified for the event.  He finished his collegiate cross country career on a high note as he broke the GV school record by eleven seconds posting an all-time personal best mark of 26:10 for the 8k course.  Jim improved his time by over a minute from last year's championship meet and placed 154th out of 312 competitors.  The previous 8k school record time of 26:21 was set by current Grand View assistant coach Brandon Bond in 2007 at the NAIA Region VII championship meet.
