[Women's Cross Country] Nielsen and Carbajo Named MCC First Team All-Conference

The 2013 women's cross country all-Midwest Collegiate Conference honors were announced last Saturday, November 9 at the conclusion of the MCC Championships held at Jones Memorial Park in Cedar Rapids.

Seven runners received first-team all-MCC honors on the basis of finishing in the top seven individually at the championship.  A total of nine more runners received honorable mention all-conference recognition for being in the top 15 or being their school's top runner (if not in top 15).

Grand View juniors Jasmine Nielsen (Denver, Iowa) and Kelsey Carbajo (Spring Hill, Kan.) received MCC First Team honors.  Both Nielsen and Carbajo qualified for the 2013 NAIA Championships and will compete on November 23 in Lawrence, Kan.
