The Fighting Bees of St. Ambrose are a solid favorite as the 2015 Midwest Collegiate Conference women's track and field preseason coaches' poll was announced today.

The two-time defending indoor and outdoor champions claim five of the six first-place votes en route to 33 points and the position in first place.  Grand View is also solidly near the top with 30 points.

With the final first-place vote, Mount Mercy is third with 23 points.  Clarke (21), William Penn (10), and Viterbo (9) round out the standings.

The MCC's indoor championships are slated to be contested on February 13-14 in Sterling, Ill., while the outdoor title will be fought over on April 30-May 2 in Des Moines.
