Kennedy Kiprop (Pleasant Hill, Iowa) was voted as this week's Midwest Collegiate Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week announced on Monday.

The junior earned his first award of the season after an impressive performance at the Grand View Viking Invitational last Friday in Des Moines. Kiprop finished 14th out of 77 runners at the Viking Invitational in an 8K time of 28:07.

The Vikings men are back on the course this Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Dean White Invitational hosted by Doane College in Crete, Neb. Race time 10 a.m.
